OUR STORY
About Us
The Vulcan Park Condominiums were originally built as apartments at the end of World War II. At the time, they were considered to be state-of-the-art, and quite an immense suburban building project by that day’s standards. When Vulcan Park was first built, there was no Valley Avenue–the east end of Valley Avenue actually started out as the apartments’ driveway! Vulcan Park was to converted condominiums in 1980-81, and has remained as such ever since.
The Vulcan Park Condominiums community is nestled on the south face of Red Mountain in Homewood, Alabama. It remains one of Birmingham’s most convenient residential locations. Located next door to Vulcan Park and Museum and within minutes of numerous shopping centers, parks, fitness centers, movie theaters, and restaurants, Vulcan Park Condominiums is an easy ten-minutes drive from downtown Birmingham via the Red Mountain Expressway or I-65, but also offers the conveniences of suburban living–just moments away from the Homewood Renaissance of SOHO Square and the established sleepy village-like main streets of downtown Homewood and Edgewood. Our neighborhood also offers families access to Homewood schools.
Consisting of 106 condos, Vulcan Park Condominiums offers one, two, and three bedroom(s) units to fit a variety of lifestyles since 1948. The Homewood school district is one of the top systems in the Birmingham metropolitan area and is within walking distance from the Vulcan Park Condominiums. Overall, this is the place to live if you are looking for a condo to rent or buy in a convenient area and great community.
